Book Review: My Husband’s Wife
Spoiler Alert: This book is edge-of-your-seat, a page-turning, twist-filled, gripping read that keeps you guessing who to care about. Almost every character feels morally compromised because, at any given time, they can be cruel, manipulative, and selfish, or vulnerable, deserving, and deeply wronged.
Alice Feeney brings family relationships to the forefront, reminding us of their complexity and unpredictability. She challenges the very idea of unconditional love, which made me question it again and again. Every twist genuinely caught me off guard. You cannot read an Alice Feeney novel while holding onto your assumptions. You have to stay open to where she takes you, as she explores human nature, fear, loss, love, and, most definitely, greed.
My Husband’s Wife will keep you awake long past bedtime, turning “just one more chapter” into several, as you desperately try to uncover the why, who, what, when, and where.
